Orphans Alliance was founded with a profound sense of purpose, shaped by lived experiences of hardship, sacrifice, and resilience. Many of us grew up witnessing our mothers “widows” burdened by poverty and systemic oppression struggle to provide for their families. Lacking access to education, healthcare, and economic opportunities, we faced significant barriers to progress. Yet, through their unwavering strength, our mothers instilled in us a commitment to overcome adversity and work toward a more just and equitable future.

Today, Orphans Alliance stands as a force for change, ensuring that future generations are not subjected to the same cycles of poverty, discrimination, and exclusion. We are dedicated to empowering marginalized Black communities in Mauritania, with a particular focus on widows, orphans, refugees, and historically underserved populations. Through strategic initiatives in education, vocational training, economic empowerment, healthcare, legal advocacy, and youth development, we are building sustainable pathways toward dignity, self-sufficiency, and long-term stability.

Our mission is to provide access to fundamental rights and opportunities so that every child receives a quality education, every widow has the support to rebuild her life, and every individual can determine their own future. Orphans Alliance is more than an organization it is a movement led by those who have lived through these struggles and are committed to creating lasting change.
